Setting new standards in luxury living, Canary Riverside is the only residential development at Canary Wharf, and is home to many celebrities. There are 350 apartments within the complex together with the Philippe Starck-designed Four Seasons hotel, Holmes Place Health and a range of dining options including Ubon by Nobu
The expectations of the landlord were to deliver a top-quality service to its residential and commercial tenants, whilst achieving the most competitive terms for all utility services. However, the skills and experience required to achieve this were not available in-house.
Recognising the skills and experience shortfall, Canary Riverside initially appointed Inenco to manage their utility purchasing, awarding the task of meter reading to another company, with tenant billing remaining in house.
Inenco achieved significant cost savings in all areas of utility purchasing, and were later asked to propose a total solution for Canary Riverside, to include:
- Energy procurement
- Remote tenant meter reading
- Tenant billing
- Cash collection
- Tax compliance
all supported by a dedicated tenant help desk facility.
In July 2003, and against some stiff competition, Inenco were awarded a 5 year contract for the delivery of this expanded brief.
