Rateable values increase by an average of 20%

The rateable value of your property is re-assessed every five years. The new rating period begins on 1 April 2005 and your new business rate revaluation will have now been sent to you by the Valuation Office. The majority of businesses are facing an increase in rateable value of approximately 12.5% plus inflation, with effect from 1st April 2005.
